• Clean your piece, preferably with Dixie Belle White Lightning Cleaner, to remove dust and grime.

• Paint with your favorite Dixie Belle paint color

• Distress (if you would like)

Dixie Belle Paint is very thick and a little goes a long way. The longer the lid stays off, the thicker it will get. If you'd like it thinner, no worries, just add a little water and stir. Add too much water? No worries, just leave lid off and it will thicken up. Whatever consistency you desire, Dixie Belle Paint will work for you!

Distress a little too much for your taste? That's okay! Just paint right over that area and start again!

Most pieces will take one to two coats for full coverage. Sometimes, after the first coat dries it will look blotchy. Don't freak out! After the second coat, it will be beautiful!

Sometimes you will see brushstrokes, don't worry, as the paint dries, they will disappear. Dixie Belle Paint is the best paint for self-leveling.​

BELLES & WHISTLES SILKSCREEN STENCILS

The Belles and Whistles Silkscreen Stencils create bold, detailed designs on a variety of surfaces.​

Each set contains 3 adhesive stencils. Each stencil is reusable up to 10 times.

• Remove stencil from the white backer sheet. Position the stencil on your project.

• Apply a thin layer of paint. Remove the silkscreen and clean promptly after use with soap and water.

• Allow the stencil to dry sticky side up on a paper towel and put back on the white backer sheet once dried.

​

Each silkscreen stencil measures 8 inches wide × 10 inches high. This silkscreen stencil collection comes complete with a squeegee hand applicator.

​Our reusable mylar stencils were designed with you in mind. These stencils are heavy duty 10 mil mylar and the pattern measures 14" x 18".
The designs can be repeated in any direction. Clean promptly after use with soap and water.

BELLES & WHISTLES TRANSFERS

The Belles and Whistles Transfers are easy to apply and add an artistic touch to your furniture.

​

Once you are ready to apply the transfer gently pull back the clear release sheet to separate the transfer from its protective paper. Gently unroll your transfer. Decide where you would like to place it before removing the protective backing paper.

​

​Tape your transfer down to prevent it from moving while you apply it. You can gently lift the clear release sheet to check that it has adhered completely.

​Working from the outside edge inward, apply pressure to release the transfer.

​Transfers are sensitive to pressure and release when you rub them.

Transfers can be layered, distressed or sealed. 

 

BELLES & WHISTLES BRUSHES

Our brushes are made with the highest quality Dupont synthetic blend Filaments that are on the market today.

They can be suspended in water just like Cling On and are made in the Good Ole USA!
The filament itself is tapered that has been flagged to imitate the natural split ends of hog bristle.

All the brushes do have a flat style trim except for the mini. The mini brush has a chisel trim style, but the chisel shape is firsthand formed during the manufacturing process. The hand forming process provides an even soft feel throughout the chisel shape.

These brushes are medium/stiff and, since they are made with SRT (Solid Round Tapered) Filament, they have great response with spring back and bend recovery for the flex. This helps with retaining the natural form and shape of the brush. Exactly what you'd expect from high end professional paint brushes.
